2008

Well 2008 has come round and we find ourselves preparing for Loch Insh once again.

It doesn’t seem like a year since we were enjoying beautiful sunny days and 80 degree heat. With the changeable nature of the recent weather who knows what we will be going up to this year. Best pack clothes, and change of clothes, for all weathers!

Using the blog
The idea behind the blog is to give access to all that’s happening on the Loch Insh trips in the weeks Banchory are resident. This was very successful last year and received lots of positive feedback. The children enjoyed sharing their news.

Now that it’s 2008 we thought we would try something slightly different and use it BEFORE the trip, as well as during… so here we go.

Before the trip

If you have any questions you might want answered before the trip you could:
1. Explore the Loch Insh website
2. Write your question in the ‘Leave a reply’ box below (This should be fairly straightforward) and we will try to get back to you as soon as we can with an answer.

During the trip
Please visit the blog on a daily basis to check out what’s been happening. Feel free to leave a message for your child and we will try to pick these up at breakfast time each morning. We are not going to guarantee a reply but we will make sure that any messages are passed on. Any messages that come into the blog are moderated (checked) before being published so please bear with us… It is a very busy week.
Or you can send us an email at banchoryatlochinsh@hotmail.co.uk

Blogmeister C
We are also very privileged to have Blogmeister C take over the management of the blog for the duration of the trip. Check out BMC’s page to see what is going on.

    Hi there,
Hope you are well and having a fab time.
Here’s how I imagine things are going:
Liam will be pleased at last night’s result, Daniel won’t be too pleased about the final 2 teams & Duncan won’t really care. Ross is probably creating a lot of noise & foam on the water & Charlie will be having fun but wanting some peace & quiet! Josh will be getting involved & Clare will be working hard. William & Frisco will be making a boat with a sail made out of a tie & Amy will be keeping everyone right. Megan will be finishing that book & Nuala will be reading the other one!
Take care, we miss you all,
    Miss G

    Hi Rosie
Loch Insh is looking good again this year, if it weren’t for all those children I’d be tempted to head up there myself…!
I heard that BBC’s Spring Watch is up near you filming for the programme, especially looking out for wild cats, capercaillie and pine martens. Think for the wildest animals all they have to do is head for Loch Insh?
Hope you’re all having a good time and not getting into too much trouble!
    Love
    Dad xxx
PS. The weather forecast looking a bit grim today but set to get better Thursday and Friday.

    hey there!

Loch Insh has given me loads of memories never to be forgotten! My favourites activities were wind surfing, cold, and sailing!

I enjoyed sailing although it wasnt the best weather! I felt it very relaxing, however the wind surfing was very hard to pick up!

I thought that the food wasn’t the best! the BBQ was better!!!!!

Thankou ever so much for taking us! and organising everything, I really enjoyed it! I wouuld go back if I could!

    THATNKYOU!
